The ESF operation programme assumes two main priorities for senior policy- “Active and healthy ageing” and “Fight against sex, race, religious, sexual orientation and physical disability discrimination”.

In the priority “Active and healthy aging” two main goals are set. The first one concerns the development of social awareness in the area of new challenges on the labor market which are the results of population ageing. The second one concerns the actions, which help to implement new standards in the silver economy sector. The main goal on the regional level is creation of new conditions for development of care services for dependent people.

In the priority “Fight against sex, race, religious, sexual orientation and physical disability discrimination” the main goal both on the central and regional level is development of social awareness about senior citizens' potential and cooperation between generations.
